About The Event

To launch the Climate Justice Working Group of the Oxford Climate Alumni Network (OxCAN), join us for our Launch Event, where we gather together academics, activists, and practitioners to explore what climate and environmental justice mean across different contexts. This Launch Event is a chance to open up a dialogue between research and practice, and to build connections across the environmental justice space.
The event will take place on Wednesday 6th May, 4–6pm BST, in the Diversity Room of the School of Geography & the Environment in Oxford. The event will begin with two keynotes and a panel discussion, followed by a small, informal mixer to connect and discuss next steps and potential collaboration. Thus, in-person attendance is strongly preferred, but it will also be possible to join via Zoom for the keynotes and panel discussion.
It is essential to RSVP via this webpage to join us for the event.
The Climate Justice Working Group is a team within OxCAN that carries out political education, mobilisation, and advocacy towards climate justice, within and beyond the University of Oxford community. If you are an OxCAN (associate) member, you are welcome to join the Working Group, and can express your interest to join here.
