Meet & Greet at COP30

COP30 Meet & Greet: Atlantic Fellows, Rhodes Scholars, & Oxford Alumni

The Atlantic Fellows, Rhodes Scholars, and Oxford Alumni Meet & Greet at COP30 will provide an intimate and friendly environment for Atlantic Fellows, Rhodes Scholars, University of Oxford Alumni, and partners attending COP30 to engage with one another while also engaging with local communities in Belém. This gathering aims to nurture dialogue, foster collaboration, and celebrate culture at the intersection of climate justice and care. A collaboration between Atlantic Fellows and the Oxford Climate Alumni Network (‘OxCAN’).

The event will include:

• Cocktail reception: Drinks and locally-sourced catering for snacks, highlighting Amazonian and Pará cuisine.

• Cultural performance: Live music by a local artist/group, bringing the spirit of Belém’s cultural heritage.

• Collaborations: Learn about each other’s initiatives and explore possible collaborations post-COP30.

• Community engagement: Services will be contracted from local, community-based providers. Depending on attendees' interests, we will create opportunities for informal exchanges between local initiatives and the Atlantic Fellows, Rhodes Scholars, Oxford alumni, and other partner networks.

The event will take place at Canto Coworking, located at Avenida Serzedelo Corrêa, 15, Nazaré, Belém – Pará, inside the Manoel Pinto da Silva Building. The venue is a collaborative coworking and cultural space in the heart of Belém, known for hosting creative, social, and artistic initiatives.
